Behind the Scenes: A Day at the Office

When people hear "animal rescue office," they usually imagine rows of kennels filled with cats.

Our office looks... a little different.

On any given day, you'll find volunteers planning the next event or social media campaign, fosters popping in to grab food, litter, and supplies from shelves packed to the brim, kittens trying to outrun the scale or dodge their parasite treatments, and overcrowded desks covered with adoption paperwork, thank-you letters, and medical records waiting to be filed. The space is small, but it's full of purpose—and just the right amount of organized chaos.

Nestled inside our coworking space, the office has become more than just a place to store supplies. It's where we welcome new fosters, where kittens enjoy stroller walks through the hallways to soak up enrichment, and where we get to introduce Windsor Kittens to neighboring businesses and visitors who stop by to say hello. We're already starting to outgrow it... but in a short amount of time, it’s already become a home away from home.

Because we're 100% foster-based, the office isn't where our cats live—it's where everything comes together. It's where intakes happen, vaccines and treatments are given, event supplies are packed, and the hundreds of moving pieces that keep Windsor Kittens running somehow stay in motion. And perhaps the most remarkable part? Every bit of it is coordinated by volunteers balancing full-time jobs, families, and lives outside of rescue.
