Meet Katie G., a family law attorney at Sodoma Law York who recently made the move from Georgia to Charlotte — and officially became a WK foster this summer!

WK helped with trap training and supplies, and Katie went on a mission to help a colony of cats that lived close to her office. We were able to provide spay & neuter surgeries for all, return the adults who longed to be back outdoors, and transfer the kittens into our Adoption Program.

Kate and the Twilight Kittens became fast friends — and she even ended up foster failing on Esme and Rosalie. Alice is still looking for her furever home, and enjoying her time in foster care alongside her siblings.

Katie dove into fostering with a heart full of love and a home filled with quiet, cozy spaces perfect for building trust. One of her most touching moments so far? The first time Esme let her in — shifting from fear to trust in a single, unforgettable moment.

Katie’s always had a deep love for animals, and now that the timing is right, she’s ready to give back. Whether she’s reading, cooking, watching movies, or spending time with friends, fostering has added a new layer of joy to her life —and she’s just getting started.
