Meet Katelyn D.

Since October 2024, Katelyn has been a dedicated foster based in Matthews, NC, sharing her home—and heart—with 11 fosters (including 2 adorable foster fails 😻). She and her husband Taylor (aka the kitten socialization expert) live with four cats, one dog named Waffles (who’s pretty sure he’s a cat), and a revolving door of furry guests that keep life exciting.

🏡 Their home is a feline paradise: permanent resident pets, quiet spaces, cat towers, and even climbing walls built into Katelyn’s office shelves!

💬 Katelyn’s most memorable moment? Adopting out Pumpkin and Cider from the Fall Harvest crew—her first successful litter placement. “It was incredibly rewarding to see them off to their forever home together, but also bittersweet saying goodbye.”

Taylor’s highlight? Syringe-feeding the sick Bugs litter with a mushy “stew” around the clock—an exhausting but unforgettable experience that led to two more adoptions.

🧡 Outside of fostering, Katelyn loves traveling to quiet Minnesota lakes, cheering for the Vikings (Skol!) and Panthers (because Sir Purr is the best), catching Broadway shows, and—of course—scooping litter boxes.
