The Frankie Fund

Support the students of Campus Cat Rescue who are helping Frankie heal, one bite at a time.

Meet Frankie.

Frankie’s story began with a message to our organization’s Instagram account.

A fellow Charlotte student had noticed him living outside her apartment complex and reached out to us, hoping someone could intervene.

At approximately six years old, Frankie had already spent years outside without consistent veterinary care or proper nutrition. He was extremely underweight, struggling to eat, and clearly in need of help.

In mid-September, Frankie was attacked by another animal outside, and we knew we could not let him continue to struggle on his own.

With the help of Windsor Kittens, we were able to bring Frankie to one of their veterinary partners for an evaluation. There, we learned that Frankie is not only severely underweight but is also suffering from significant dental and gum disease, likely worsened by years without the medical care and nutrition he needs.

For Frankie, this isn’t just a dental problem. It affects some of his most basic needs. He struggles to eat solid food, cannot properly groom himself, and drools constantly because of the condition of his mouth. Now that Frankie is finally safe and has consistent access to nutritious food, the pain in his mouth is still preventing him from eating and gaining the weight he so desperately needs.

That’s where we need your help.

Frankie’s ongoing veterinary and dental care is expected to cost approximately $2,500.

As a student-led rescue organization working alongside a local nonprofit, this is a significant expense, but it is care that Frankie urgently needs.

Our goal is to raise $2,500 to help cover Frankie’s medical treatment and give him the chance to eat without pain, groom himself, gain weight, and truly heal.

Every contribution matters. Whether you can give $5, $10, $25, or more, your donation brings Frankie one step closer to receiving the care he has gone without for far too long.

If you aren’t able to donate, sharing Frankie’s story is just as valuable. Every share helps us reach someone else who may be able to help.

Thank you for helping us give Frankie a second chance.
